Whoops! It seems like I am forgetting something...hmm. Oh right we forgot to tell everyone that we got job offers with Backroads! Lauren left for Salt Lake City yesterday and I will leave the end of next month.
But what, you may ask, have we been doing for the last two months. I will tell you one thing, it hasn't been writing. But you already knew that.
Thanks to mine and Lauren's parents we have been enjoying the rent free lifestyle in the beautiful Bay Area.
Our time has been spent doing yardwork, gardening, housekeeping, room painting, gutter cleaning , becoming a sub (Lauren), and of course biking, though not as much. We have also been to SLO twice and places in between, and even to Hawaii for week with Lauren's mother. We have enjoyed running into friends and spending time with our respective families.
I will dearly miss Lauren during our time apart, and mountain biking certainly won't be as fun without her. However, we are still incredibly excited to have this opportunity working outside with people who love bikes and traveling. We will even be able to ride lightweight, for a change, titanium bikes for the summer.
Before I leave for work I am hoping to finish out the rest of our regularly, or not so, scheduled broadcasting of our time in South East Asia. There are lots more pictures and stories, so stay tuned.
