Back on the Central Coast.

So we guess that it is high time that we broke the big news...we're back. We have had some fun sneaking up on some people, but we figured that we couldn't keep people in suspense any longer. Especially those who have found themselves worrying about us during extended periods of no blog updates (for teaser photos and more frequent updates you can always find our  Facebook fan page:  Smitten By Cycles).

Before I go any further, I figure that I should answer some basic questions.

Q:  How long have you been back?
A:  We touched down in California late Sunday the 13th.

Q:  How long have you been in SLO?
A:  I tried to sneak into the Establishment on Saturday night (Cocktail Party!).

Q:  How long will you be in SLO?
A:  Possibly leaving Thursday midday, but, as usual, plans are subject to change.

Q:  How long have you known that you  would be coming back?
A:  About a month.  Sneaky I know.

Q:  Did you run out of money?
A:  No.

Q:  Why did you come back?
A:  Disregarding other less significant circumstances that naturally punctuated our travels, ending our time in South East Asia, we came back for a job opportunity.

Q:  What kind of job?
A:  We have both applied to be cycle tour guides for a company called Backroads.  Since neither of us are quite ready to hang up the panniers for a bike mounted brief case we decided that it would be prudent to take this opportunity to travel for work while working for travel.  We are VERY excited about the prospect and have an eight hour group interview in Berkeley with 38 other people on the 5th of next month.  We receive the verdict the following day.

Q:  Will you catch up with blog posts?
A:  Yes, we plan on concluding the trip on the blog in the upcoming weeks.  Also, check in for updates on other parts of the webpage including things like equipment reviews.

Q:  Where can I find you to come say "hi" while you are in town?
A:  Although we are running around and I cannot guarantee we will be at any particular place at any particular time. If you check the usual haunts or give one of us a call our paths should cross!

Thanks everybody who followed our blog. Knowing that someone was reading kept us on top of documenting our travels, something that we will value for the rest of our lives.

We have been just overwhelmed with love and we hope to see you soon.

Love Your Pedaling Friends,
Brant and Lauren
